Naraku, reviving and absorbing a demonic tree named Yomeiju, flees from Inuyasha and his friends. Kikyo crosses paths with Koga for the first time, after Moryomaru bursts from a mountain without catching sight of them. Inuyasha's gang witness Moryomaru and Naraku battle each other, though they are evenly matched. Moryomaru consumes Naraku to gain his jewel shards and later captures Koga. However, this was a ruse to allow Naraku to get through his armor and destroy him from the inside, using the demon tree's tendrils penetrate The Infant's barrier and merge with him. After Koga frees himself Miroku to use his Wind Tunnel towards Naraku, yet refuses to close it despite his friends' pleas, until the miasma causes him to bleed out of his face, allowing Naruka to retreat. Severely poisoned, Miroku is near death, and Kikyo states that even her great abilities of purification cannot entirely heal him. (Source: Wikipedia)
