Rikuo's training continues. At the same time, a deputation of Kyoto yōkai come to Tono Village to ask Akagappa, the leader of the village, to help Hagoromo Gitsune fulfill her goal. Akagappa refuses to help them. The Kyoto yōkai are preparing to leave the place when they spot Rikuo and attempt to kill him. During the fight, Rikuo comes to understand the real power of Nurarihyon and manages to cut the fear of his enemy.
