Third-year ace Subaru Mimiura and manager Mitsuomi Ochi form the team's core, with Ochi transitioning from setter due to injury. Upon learning of Seiin’s rising star, genius setter Haijima, first-year Kouhei Tokura and Ochi attend a secret practice. Tokura clashes with Okuma, prompting Subaru to intervene. Subaru then proposes a practice match, which Haijima readily accepts.
