Ep. 3: Tooru and Julie face Rito in the New Blade Battle while uncovering shared Avenger identities.

Following the announcement of the New Blade Battle, Tooru and Julie train with their Blazes. Tooru discovers an exhausted Miyabi collapsed on the track and carries her to her dorm, encouraging her to keep training. The battle begins at 5 o'clock, requiring duos to survive for two hours. Tooru and Julie defeat Tomoe and Miyabi, then encounter Tora and his partner injured on the floor. Rito appears, admitting she caused the injuries to eliminate students she deems unfit. During the ensuing fight, Tooru learns that breaking an enemy's Blaze damages their soul. He uses his Mjolnir punch to shatter Rito's Blaze, ending the conflict. The next morning, the recovering pair shares tea with Tomoe and Miyabi. That night, Tooru wakes from a nightmare about a past incident, and Julie reveals a scar on her back, showing she is also an Avenger like him.
