On April Fools' Day, Ichigo's father Taichi arrives home with star grapes from his travels. Learning he will stay for Spring Vacation, Ichigo invites him to watch an audition and introduces him to her friends at the academy. Taichi shares wild stories that Aoi and the others dismiss as a prank. Later, Taichi receives a call from colleagues urging him to negotiate with a tribe regarding the star grapes. The tribe elder insists he return to keep his promise to his daughter. Taichi hurries back to Japan in time for Ichigo's audition. After the event, Ichigo sees him off as he resumes his travels.
