Two men prepare to take down a sacred tree, triggering a flashback of Kuchiha’s childhood with her grandfather. Tsuruume notes that many rely on the Princess and that ayakashi are increasing. Kuchiha tells Tokidoki about her past, explaining that her grandfather gave her name and that the kuchi part means to rot. Her friendship with Tokidoki and Shinonome grows. The Princess is introduced and explains her ability to live and die again. Tokidoki and Shinonome are confused by her appearance but receive an explanation. After eating, Ginshu asks for Tokidoki’s help. Finally, the man who cut the sacred tree is shown affected by an ayakashi spirit. Shamon is asked for help, leaving Heihachi behind in the temple.
