Anju to Zushioumaru

Anju and Zushio are separated and sold into slavery after their father conflicts with local soldiers. Their mother later dies, and they are placed under the care of Sansho the Bailiff, who treats them brutally. Anju drowns in a lake and becomes a swan, while Zushio escapes and is taken in by a nobleman, eventually becoming a young man. He seeks to defeat the villainous Dayu and liberate the enslaved people.
