Rosemary informs Nadja that Duke Preminger acts out of a misguided sense of duty toward the duchy. Meanwhile, Collette arrives at the Preminger residence to retrieve her daughter. After a happy reunion, Collette takes Nadja home, allowing them to finally bond as mother and daughter. Keith and Francis later visit Nadja, attempting to convince her to return to the Preminger estate. Nadja refuses, criticizing the Duke’s past actions and declaring her desire to travel the world as a dancer with the Dandelion Troupe, which has arrived for her. She continues her search for her mother while asserting her independence from the Duke's influence.
