Graham Specter seeks revenge while Elmer visits Huey in prison and Rachel meets Czeslaw
Feb 27, 2008In 1932, mechanic Graham Specter is outraged that someone seriously injured Ladd, recalling his 1929 attack on Ladd for ruining a car he wanted to dismantle. Although Ladd won the fight, he spared Graham because they are alike. In 1931, Elmer observes Firo, Ennis, and Maiza greeting Isaac, Miria, and Czeslaw at the station but does not speak to them. Later, Elmer visits Huey in prison and fails to lift his spirits. Huey asks Elmer to find Chane and make her smile, doubting she will ever be happy again due to his dispassionate treatment of her as a child. Meanwhile, Graham plans to capture Jacuzzi for a bounty from the Russo by kidnapping Eve. Rachel is surprised to see Czeslaw alive, and the boy recognizes her, offering to tell her the truth about events aboard the Pussyfoot.

Nice's gang stays in Genoard mansion while Chane faces abduction by Graham
Apr 23, 2008Eve permits Nice, Jacuzzi, and their gang to remain in the Genoard mansion after they sell stolen explosives and rescue Chane, though the group remains suspicious of her. Meanwhile, Claire recognizes Czeslaw and Rachel, and Chane receives a white dress from Claire, reminding her of past kindness from Huey but leaving her confused about Claire’s intentions. Chane is abducted by Graham, who mistakes her for Eve and demands money from Jacuzzi. Jacuzzi arrives alone but is followed by Nice, the gang, and Claire, who introduces himself as the Rail Tracer. Claire confesses his love for Chane, a concept foreign to her due to her lonely past. Enraged by Claire’s previous victory over Ladd, Graham prepares to fight him to protect Chane.

May 28, 2008Ladd denies FBI charges and vows to kill Huey while recovering. Natalie pays Rachel, who buys tickets to cover stolen rides. Nicholas follows Eve to Gandor, where Claire threatens him for Chane’s location. Czeslaw flees after learning Claire is the Rail Tracer, then invites Rachel to lunch to win Chane’s affection. Claire walks with Chane, who is abducted by Graham; he rescues her and realizes only Ladd can defeat Claire. Claire proposes friendship to Chane, who nods. In 1933, Eve finds an empty river barrel. In 1932, Elmer meets Sylvie, who spared Firo to keep Gretto’s memories safe and is happy to see Gretto in him. Elmer thanks Ronny for helping Maiza as a person, fulfilling a wish from 1711. Ronny attributes his actions to curiosity rather than promise-keeping. Meanwhile, Gustav and Carol determine the story they investigate has neither a beginning nor an end.
