Dan’s family relocates to Bayview City, coinciding with the global launch of Marucho’s Bakugan Interspace. Dan visits a cafe to meet Jake, a newcomer to the game, before they proceed to the Interspace. There, Marucho provides Jake with Subterra Coredem. The group reunites with Ren and Shun, who is currently fighting Shuji. After Shun wins, Ren is set to battle Dan. During the intense match, Marucho shuts down the system, causing Dan to collapse. He experiences a vision of Bakugan at war, which others dismiss as a hallucination except for Ren.
