After Azuki lands the lead role, Mashiro and Takagi plan to end Reversi in July. Hattori informs Heishi of this, but Heishi rejects it, ordering Hattori to persuade the creators to continue. Takagi secretly meets Hattori, proposing an eight-chapter conclusion to surpass Nizuma in rankings and sales, aiming to make Mashiro the top artist in Shonen Jack. Hattori chooses to support the authors, citing Director Torishima’s advice to stand by creators during conflicts. Heishi agrees, allowing the animation studio to preserve the original vision.
