Mashiro and Takagi read The Classroom of Truth and praise it despite its unorthodox nature. The serialization committee rejects it for Shonen Jack, keeping it as a finalist. Its author, Nanamine Tooru, is a longtime fan of Ashirogi Muto and visits Yueisha to discuss changes. He instead releases the manga online, violating policy, but presents a new one-shot that the Chief approves immediately. When Nanamine meets Takagi and Mashiro, he admits he distrusts editors, believing artists know best. He reveals he collaborates with other artists online, incorporates their ideas, and claims them as his own. He vows to do whatever is necessary to reach the top of Shonen Jack. This revelation angers both Mashiro and Takagi.
