Mashiro and Takagi submit applications to North High School while continuing their work on the Money and Intelligence projects. Miyoshi asks why Mashiro and Azuki are not dating, leading Takagi to deduce that Azuki prefers to stay focused on her aspirations. The pair, along with Miyoshi, receive acceptance letters to North High. They discover their work will be featured in the seasonal magazine NEXT. Hattori reveals that editors intend to use them to make Nizuma appear superior by comparison. However, he encourages them to view this as an opportunity to impress the staff and defeat Nizuma in the process.
