Following a celebratory meal, Hattori, Takagi, and Mashiro debate the roles of money and intelligence in their careers. Hattori advises delaying serialization until after high school graduation, criticizing Nizuma for starting too early. Miyoshi informs Takagi that Azuki is relocating and suggests she see Mashiro before leaving. Mashiro remains committed to his promise to Azuki, regardless of the time required. After the graduation ceremony, he encounters Azuki on his way home. He questions how long she will wait for him, and she vows to wait forever, bringing him satisfaction.
