Observing Ichiko's isolation, Ranmaru attempts friendship but faces her pride. The next day, Akane Tenge and her gang kidnap Ichiko to the old school building to discipline her. Ranmaru arrives to rescue her, but the building collapses while Ichiko sneaks away. Torn between saving Ranmaru and fleeing, Ichiko recalls past trauma from a best friend's betrayal over a boy. Momiji extracts Ichiko's Fortune, which Ichiko gives to Ranmaru, enabling his escape. Later, Ichiko allows Ranmaru to use Momiji's gadget to uncover her fear of intimacy. After hearing her story, Ranmaru promises never to betray her, and the two become friends on a first-name basis.
