Pinoko, holding a middle school diploma obtained via mail order, attempts to enroll in high school but faces ridicule for her youthful appearance. After Black Jack bribes the school chairman to allow her to take the entrance exam, Sharaku and Watou offer to tutor her. Black Jack cautions them to be gentle, noting that her synthetic body fatigues as easily as a child's. Despite her diligent preparation, Pinoko collapses from severe stomach pain during the test. Black Jack performs surgery, confirming that her body cannot withstand the stress of a competitive high school environment. Consequently, Pinoko decides to attempt kindergarten next, though she quickly proves to be too energetic for the younger children.
