Grant escapes while Diva and Saya confront their past before a fatal duel.
Sep 16, 2006Secretary of Defense Grant flees, abandoning Van to face the chiropterans alone. Saya argues with Diva about protecting humans, but Diva recalls being treated as human. Amshel provokes Hagi by mentioning his parents sold him for bread, yet Hagi expresses gratitude for meeting Saya. The two transform and fight outside, where Hagi impales Amshel on a skyscraper, losing a wing. Lightning strikes the rod, seemingly killing Amshel. Lewis and Lulu distract the chiropterans while Kai saves David. Diva challenges Saya to kill her babies, believing chiropterans should not exist. Both queens load their swords with blood and clash. They impale each other; Saya heals while Diva crystallizes and shatters. Nathan brings the babies to Diva, who dies imagining holding them. Nathan reveals Diva’s blood lost potency when pregnant. He asks Saya to kill him, which she does. Hagi embraces a crying Saya, who tells Kai she must die after killing the babies.

Sep 23, 2006Following Diva's death, Saya fears the infants will become war weapons, but Kai vows to protect them. Hagi confesses his love to Saya, disobeys her command to die, and kills Amshel before being impaled and crushed by the collapsing roof. A month later, the group resides in Okinawa as chiropteran attacks decline. Julia is pregnant with David's child and has extended Lulu's life. Nathan appears in America regarding investigations into Van and Cinque Fleches' military ties. At a party hosted by Saya and Kai, Okamura and Mao plan to travel to the Middle East. Saya collapses outside, and Kai carries her to the Miyagusuku crypt, promising to care for the children until she wakes. The post-credits scene shows Kai and Diva's children at the crypt, where they find a pink rose with a blue ribbon, indicating their aunt's presence.
