During a bus stop for a restroom break, Class 1-A meets The Pussycats, a professional Hero Team, and Kota, an orphan who hates heroes. Mandalay warns the students they must reach the training camp base by midday to avoid missing lunch. Earthen beasts controlled by Pixie-Bob hinder their progress, causing the class to miss the deadline by hours. The team accepts their performance and offers dinner instead. Later, Class 1-A visits the hot springs. Mineta attempts to peek at the girls' bath but is stopped by Kota. Kota accidentally sees the girls, faints, and is rescued by Midoriya. Midoriya carries the unconscious Kota to the cabin, where he learns that Kota's parents were pro heroes who died in the line of duty.
