Ep. 169: Team 10 joins Sand ninja for a mission involving a dangerous Ootsutsuki Puppet and the return of Deepa.

Shikadai, Inojin, and Cho-Cho’s Team 10 partners with Shinki, Yodo, and Araya from the Hidden Sand to retrieve an Ootsutsuki Puppet previously encountered by Shikadai. Upon reaching the Land of Wind, the group visits a shop where they encounter a mysterious man. After the squads locate the target, this man, revealed to be Deepa who once fought Team 7, massacres everyone at the location. Deepa easily overpowers all six ninja and attempts to take Urashiki’s puppet. Shinki sacrifices his remaining strength to destroy the artifact, but Deepa remains unharmed. Victor later reprimands Deepa for this failure, despite his apparent indifference to the loss of the puppet.
