Boruto and Sarada leave the village to investigate Orochimaru's research facility, hoping to find information regarding Mitsuki. They bypass the guards and enter the lab, where their observations and conversation with Orochimaru lead Boruto to realize he did not truly understand his friend. Meanwhile, the village discovers their absence and assigns Shikadai and Team 10 to track them down and return them. This event occurs during the Mitsuki's Disappearance Arc.
