The Nara clan's chief elder instructs Shikadai to abandon his duties as a ninja and enter politics to elevate the clan's standing. Although initially hesitant, Shikadai weighs his father's position and ultimately agrees to the arrangement. His friends express surprise at this abrupt change in his path. Consequently, Shikadai takes a break from ninja missions and dedicates himself to studying with the goal of becoming a politician.
