Brigadoon: Marin to Melan

Marin is a cheerful junior high student living with her adoptive family. One day, a strange mirage appears in the sky, followed by the arrival of androids known as Monomakia from a structure called Brigadoon, who target her. During her escape, she finds a blue bottle at a shrine, from which emerges Melan Blue, an alien armed with a sword and gun who becomes her protector. Together, they work to save the planet while navigating family issues, school discrimination, and police involvement. They also seek to uncover the secrets of Marin’s background and Melan’s unclear purpose, learning to trust one another along the way. The story takes place in 1969 Japan, featuring a diverse group of allies and adversaries.
