During a stormy evening, high school student Sakura Sakurakoji witnesses individuals being consumed by flames. The following day at school, she encounters a new transfer student named Rei Ogami. Sakura becomes convinced that Rei was present among the victims of the fire. Driven by this suspicion, she makes a firm decision to investigate his connection to the incident and determine his role in the tragedy.

Sakura Regains Consciousness and Confronts Ogami Regarding Park Events

After waking up in her bedroom following her discovery outside the previous night, Sakura feels intense fear toward Ogami. This anxiety leads her to act protectively toward Aoba, who misinterprets her behavior as hostility. Determined to understand the truth behind the incidents that occurred in the park, Sakura decides to confront Ogami directly. She aims to get to the bottom of the situation and clarify the misunderstandings that have arisen between the characters.

Ogami and Sakura accompany each other to school to maintain a mutual watch over one another. She witnesses the nature of his tasks firsthand and is taken aback by what she observes. This shared experience highlights the growing bond between the two characters while introducing external social friction regarding their relationship. The narrative focuses on their daily routine and the unexpected revelations that occur when Sakura steps into Ogami's professional environment, challenging her previous perceptions of his life and duties.

Ogami receives a new mission from Eden council while Toki escorts Sakura to school.

The Eden council assigns Ogami his next mission. Meanwhile, Toki picks up Sakura to accompany her to school, stating that he is a friend of Ogami. Ogami arrives and engages in a physical altercation with Toki, but Sakura intervenes to halt the conflict. Following this, Toki provides a tour of the school attended by both Sakura and Ogami.

Ogami, Toki, and Sakura attempt to infiltrate a government-run facility, and encounter two large men with their own special abilities. They locate Diet member Tabata, their target, and are about to carry out their mission when a new secret is revealed.

Toki meets the Prime Minister while Sakura encourages Ogami to connect with classmates

Toki attends a breakfast meeting with the Prime Minister. On the journey to school, Sakura and Ogami encounter Rui Hachioji, who delivers a specific message to Ogami. Sakura advises Ogami to open up and make friends with the other students in their class. However, the class has a surprise of its own.

While Ogami remains unconscious, Heike and Kanda explain their Code:Breaker duties to Sakura. To ensure safety during his recovery, Sakura invites the group to stay at her residence. The remaining Code:Breakers subsequently convene at the house. Their gathering is interrupted by the arrival of an uninvited visitor, adding tension to the safe haven Sakura has provided for the recovering Ogami.
