Despite Aichi deploying Pongal, Young Pegasus Knight, Solitary Knight Gancelot, and Soul Saver Dragon, Miwa counters with Dragonic Overlord and its Eternal Flame ability. Miwa announces a final turn, but Aichi defends using Flash Shield and Iseult to block the attack. Aichi then secures victory by summoning another Soul Saver Dragon, fulfilling his strategy. Afterward, Miwa reveals to Kai that Aichi hears the call of card spirits, causing Kai significant concern about this development.
