Following the conclusion of the first day of the U20's second stage, Chrono initiates a cardfight against Onimaru. During the match, Chrono reveals that Onimaru is possessed by Stealth Dragon, Shiranui, a unit from Cray. When questioned about his motives, Onimaru states his desire to be liberated from destiny. He explains that Vanguard serves as the link between Earth and Cray, meaning battles on Earth directly impact Cray, a situation he can no longer endure. Determined to prevent his future from being controlled by a higher power, Onimaru aims to sever the connection between the two worlds by destroying Vanguard. He ultimately defeats Chrono and departs from the scene.
