Ep. 2: Professor Toporo reveals Galonian origins before Cobra eliminates his team and faces Blackborn and Zoros.

Professor Toporo explains that his companions are Martian cave dwellers aiding an excavation based on his theory that the planet is an ancient Galonian spaceship built for their god Shiva. He states that the Galonians perished while Shiva sought a Golden Paradise, but recent activity suggests the planetary drive has been activated. Upon reaching the ruined temple and the Golden Gate, Cobra discovers that Toporo and his helpers are actually operatives of the Pirate Guild and kills them. Pilot Blackborn and Zoros then attack Cobra and Secret. Blackborn melts the key, captures Secret, and reveals the Guild’s plan to crash Galon into the sun to destroy the galaxy. Zoros pursues Cobra into an underground waterway, but Cobra defeats him after Humanhead Sharks remove his protective bandages. A sentient Humanhead Shark subsequently frees Secret, informing her that her body is the key to the Golden Gate, and she steps into a female figure carved into the gateway.
