Lelouch ponders the nature of happiness while recalling his time at Ashford Academy. Inside the Student Council room, Shirley struggles to fit Kallen into an unfinished dress, prompting Milly to explain that the upcoming Handmade Dress Party requires handmade attire to avoid commercial competition. The girls tease Kallen about her potential escort, denying any romantic interest in Lelouch, Suzaku, or Rivalz. Meanwhile, Lelouch, Suzaku, and Rivalz experience simultaneous sneezing in the hallway. Lelouch insists on escorting Nunnally, displaying nervousness when Suzaku offers to take the role instead. Upon entering the room, the boys admire Kallen’s appearance, but Nunnally reveals she has assigned Lelouch to escort Kallen, while she will accompany Suzaku. The pairings were determined by Nina’s 3D Hyper Miracle Lottery game, which resulted in Shirley being paired with a disappointed Rivalz.
