Ep. 1: Detective Kei Matoba teams up with a young witch to investigate a magical fairy kidnapping case.
During a routine drug bust in San-Teresa, a suspect uses magic to escape, killing Detective Rick Fury. The survivor, Kei Matoba, mourns his partner but is ordered to meet a Semanian noble who speaks his language. Kei travels by Coast Guard ship, only to find the noble is Tilarna Exedilica, a self-proclaimed Knight of Mirvor. She claims authority under a United Nations treaty to rescue the kidnapped fairy and punish its captors. Despite Kei’s hostility toward non-humans, his superiors force them to cooperate. Tilarna struggles with Earth customs, prompting Kei to warn her against touching technology. After receiving a tip about a Mexican smuggling gang, Kei consults priest Biz O’Neill. They track the lead to an apartment building where Tilarna senses magic, and they witness a man stabbing a gang member before aiming a gun at them.
