Junpei scouts Seishu’s first tournament opponent and rejects Daimon’s invitation to observe Kurokoma practice. Risa visits Seishu for a photo shoot the day before the first game but declines to interrupt team practice. Several team members propose dating Aoba contingent on her game performance, while Ko requests exemption from dating him if he strikes out at least 10 batters. Seishu wins after five innings, yet only Ko achieves his specific goal. Daimon dismisses Ko’s effort due to the weak opposition batting. Aoba questions Ko’s motivation and advises him to conserve strength. Meanwhile, Kurokoma faces Sena, the team led by Miki, and loses a close match because Daimon refuses to deploy his ace pitcher against a lesser-known school.
