Ep. 47: Ko questions whether he can lie while managing Akane's surgery and tournament preparations.
Ko promises Akane he will deceive Akaishi about her release, claiming he is skilled at lying. Akane informs him that her surgery coincides with the tournament final against Ryuo, forcing a date postponement, and requests he tell Aoba the truth. Ko lies to Akaishi, then asks Aoba to visit Wakaba's grave, where he prays for the surgery's success and states Wakaba would not want her to cry. During practice, Aoba jokingly asks Azuma out, prompting Ko to clarify his serious feelings. The morning before the match, Aoba asks Ko if he likes Akane more, to which he replies by asking if he can lie. While warming up, Ko sees Momiji flash a peace sign and celebrates. After Akane's surgery, Aoba texts Momiji to signal Ko via a peace sign that the procedure was successful.
