Kuro is attacked at his home and discovers that Matatabi is responsible for the assault. Following a battle between the two cats, they uncover that Matatabi is under mind control orchestrated by Dr Go's rival, Tendou. In response to this revelation, Tendou deploys a trio of mutant dogs to create further trouble for Kuro. The narrative focuses on the conflict arising from this external manipulation and the subsequent escalation of threats posed by the newly sent canine forces against the protagonist.
