During winter, sakura trees continue to bloom while Yoshiyuki dreams of the Asakura sisters before Sakura wakes him. The class votes on a Christmas event, with Anzu and Akane proposing a puppet show and Suginami suggesting a haunted house. Yoshiyuki breaks the tie by selecting the puppet show, casting himself and Koko as the leads. At home, news reports mysterious incidents in Hatsune-Jima. Yoshiyuki practices the performance with Otome, who later notices changes in the island's sakura trees. Meanwhile, Sakura is seen at the magical sakura tree.
