Ep. 1: Dagashi shop owner's son faces manga ambitions and a girl's challenge at the family store

Kokonotsu Shikada works at his family's dagashi snack shop while aspiring to become a manga artist. His father, Yo, insists that he should instead take over the business. The status quo is disrupted when a girl named Hotaru Shidare arrives at the shop. She issues a direct challenge to Kokonotsu, creating a conflict between his personal creative goals and his family's expectations. This encounter introduces a new dynamic to the daily operations of the snack shop and forces Kokonotsu to confront the pressure placed upon him by his father regarding his future career path.
