One day after the previous events, Hotaru and Saya discuss the flavor of love on a beach pier. Tō and Kokonotsu attempt to gain popularity through fortune-telling dagashi. The two groups spot each other from a distance, prompting Kokonotsu to recall his earlier conversation with Hotaru at the train stop. He resolves to provide Hotaru with an answer, fearing that his indecisiveness is keeping her tied to the town.
