In 2050, the Artemis tournament determines the best LBX fighter, featuring Yamano Ban, Aoshima Kazuya, and Kawamura Ami. Ban recalls obtaining his robot after a mysterious woman escaped the Innovator base and gave him a case. Inside was an LBX with a Death Lock that kills uncertified users, yet Ban proved certified. Three Innovator spies attacked him using Dequoo LBXs, forcing Ban to activate his machine to defend himself. He defeated the attackers, destroying the entertainment room. His mother returned and permitted him to keep the LBX, provided he cleaned the mess. She then pondered that something big was about to happen, while Ban’s father had disappeared eight years prior when Plane PA027 vanished en route to the Neo Technology Summit.
