Ep. 40: Ban and Jin confront Kousuke while the group races to stop the Innovators' missile threat.

Kousuke guides Ban and Jin into a trap within the control room, where they discover acorns being manufactured. Jin suspects these items are weapons controlled by the eternal cycler. Kousuke challenges them to a battle, promising freedom if they defeat him. During the fight, Ban analyzes Kousuke's speed and strikes Lucifer. Kousuke’s father contacts him, prompting him to return the group's CCMs and provide an escape route through the trash line. Before departing, Jin learns the acorns are miniature megaton bombs. The group escapes safely and receives news that Zaizen has postponed the Earth Crust project. However, Lex sends Ban data revealing the Innovators plan to destroy energy at the Tyrant Press Energy Plant. Mano locates the Innovators' research base, discovering missiles loaded with Fairy BXs containing AI and acorn cores. The group has only 21 hours to stop this impending attack.
