Lee escorts Chiaki back to her residence, where she explains the nature of Contractors to him. Upon entering her room, they discover it has been thoroughly ransacked by the individuals pursuing Chiaki. Seeking safety, Chiaki requests to stay in Lee’s room. The two remain there together until law enforcement arrives to investigate the scene. This period allows them to spend time together while the police conduct their inquiry into the disturbance and the state of the apartment.
