Baul, a former servant of Sparda, attacks Dante with the intention of battling the Legendary Dark Knight. While this confrontation unfolds, Baul's brother Modeus attempts to intervene and prevent the fight from occurring. Ultimately, Dante emerges victorious by defeating Baul. Following this defeat, Baul becomes enraged, leading Dante to kill his brother. The events center on the clash between Dante and Baul, as well as Modeus's efforts to stop the violence before it escalates into a fatal outcome for both brothers.
