After being impaled and crucified in the demon dimension, Dante returns to challenge Sid. Despite Sid's considerable power, Dante manages to defeat and kill him. Simultaneously, Lady and Trish combat a devil invasion in the human world, while Patty tries to reach Dante. In the epilogue, Dante, Lady, and Trish depart on a devil-hunting mission, making a wager that the first to arrive at the job receives the payment. Meanwhile, Patty arrives at Dante's office, resolved to clean up his mess.
