Ruki, fearing he and his brothers cannot become Adam, acts erratically and imprisons Yui to force-feed on her blood. He later recalls a childhood memory where a stranger saved the Mukami siblings from death to honor a promise. As Yui weakens, her brothers grow worried. Ayato intervenes by abducting Yui, and Ruki accepts this without resistance, leaving his siblings confused by his sudden compliance and the strange turn of events surrounding their shared past and current crisis.
