Angiramon discovers a tsujigiri Digimon attacking both humans and Digimon, encountering it by chance. This creature is actually possessed by the spirit of Muysamon, a samurai Digimon who entered the human world using a Digimon to rebuild his body from data. Muysamon had previously been absorbed into the Shiratorimaru katana. Despite Angoramon's strong will, he succumbs to Muysamon's control within days. During this struggle, Angoramon faces challenges from Zubamon, who is identified as Muysamon's rival. The narrative focuses on the possession and the internal conflict as Angoramon loses his autonomy to the ancient spirit inhabiting the tsujigiri Digimon.
