Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters

Smartphones are widely used, but within them exist AI lifeforms known as Appmon, which operate between the human world and digital space to facilitate interaction between users and systems. A virus controlled by the AI Leviathan infects the Appmon, allowing it to hack systems and gain influence over the real world. Haru Shinkai obtains an Appli Drive, using it to summon Gatchmon, a search Appmon. Questions remain about the Appli Drive's hidden nature, the mysterious space between the digital and real worlds, a technique called "App Combine" that merges two Appmons, and the actual intentions of Leviathan.
