Suneo visits to return a borrowed umbrella, but Doraemon and Nobita remain too lazy to rise. Doraemon produces a retrieval rope, which Nobita attempts to borrow. During a struggle between the two, the rope is thrown out the window and lands in Suneo’s possession. Suneo exploits the item to steal and play pranks before discarding it. Nobita discovers the rope and faces blame, though he denies using it. Later, a young girl falls into a nearby ditch. Nobita struggles but successfully pulls her to safety using the rope. The girl then clarifies that Suneo was the one playing with the device, clearing Nobita’s name.
