The episode opens with Nobita and Doraemon watching television. Although the TV is old, Nobita's mother manages to keep it functioning by hitting it with a pound. Doraemon then introduces a special cloth that has the ability to manipulate time. Depending on which side of the fabric is used, it can either reverse time or move it forward. This gadget allows the characters to alter the flow of events, providing a unique method to change past occurrences or skip ahead to the future within the narrative.
