Ep. 11: Banmon’s History Part One: Hyakkimaru’s Name and the Cursed Fort

Before reaching Daigo Kagemitsu's capital, Tahoumaru learns Hyakkimaru's name. At the capital, a play glorifies Daigo as a demon slayer protected by the Goddess of Mercy. The Biwa-Houshi visits the Hall of Hell for truth. Hyakkimaru and Dororo explore the cursed ruins of Fort Banmon, built by Daigo on a destroyed village. There, Asakura soldiers pin enemy bodies with arrows. They meet Sukeroku, who wants to cross to the Asakura side to reunite with his family. Meanwhile, Tahoumaru's guards report to Daigo, who confirms his son is alive and vows to kill him to protect his domain, disregarding his wife's pleas. Tahoumaru overhears this and meets a woman present at his birth, who explains demons spared him. At night, a nine-tailed fox demon attacks Hyakkimaru. Sukeroku uses the chaos to cross the wall, but Dororo pursues and Sukeroku is captured. Daigo's squadron chases the demon away with arrows, and Daigo approaches Hyakkimaru.
