Senku, Chrome, and Magma search for a nearby cave while looking for tungsten. They encounter a mica vein, and Magma attempts to save Senku from falling into a sinkhole, but both become trapped. Chrome rescues them by filling the sinkhole with water. The trio discovers a mineral-rich deposit and hurries back to the village to arrive in time for Senku's birthday celebration. During their absence, Gen and the villagers construct an observatory as a gift for Senku. The group returns safely to join the festivities after resolving the cave incident.
