Kami resurrects Shenron, the Eternal Dragon. Goku’s friends on Earth summon the dragon, who informs them that Goku is training in Heaven under Kami-sama and will join them at the upcoming Martial Arts Tournament. They make a wish to revive everyone killed by Piccolo. Learning that Goku is training under Kami motivates Tien, Yamcha, and Krillin to intensify their own training for the competition.
