Ep. 18: Shobu challenges Gyujiro while Hakuoh undergoes critical surgery.

Hakuoh is rushed to the hospital after a duel with Gyujiro, where Dr. Root attempts a life-saving operation. The Battle Arena Tournament Finals cancel the matches between Bucketman and Kokujo, as well as Hakuoh versus Gyujiro, causing crowd unrest. Gyujiro feigns injury, claiming Hakuoh attacked him and will not appear. Shobu arrives and challenges Gyujiro, who is cleared to fight by Stu since he defeated Kokujo and Hakuoh. Gyujiro uses a Wave Strikers deck from Yu Fua, a strategy only Jamira knew, but the crowd forgets this and chants for Shobu to lose. Hakuoh urges Shobu to defeat Gyujiro fairly so he realizes his wrongdoings. Despite Dr. Root's efforts, Hakuoh loses his heartbeat completely.
