Ep. 2: Duelists gather at the Battle Arena for the labyrinth qualifiers.

Shobu, Mimi, Rekuta, Sayuki, Mikuni, Boy George, Hakuoh, Kintaro, and Makoto Aizen arrive at the Duel Masters Battle Arena to compete for the title of the world's greatest duelist. They encounter the Black Soldiers, a group in graduate gowns led by Robby Rotten, who seek revenge for failing to defeat Hakuoh at the Temple. Rotten declares his intent to defeat the duelist who beat Hakuoh. The qualifiers begin in a labyrinth where hundreds of duelists face random opponents to reach the finals. Robby Rotten, Multi-Card Monty, and Akakan enter the tournament and cheat from the start. Mikuni defeats an opponent but faces Rotten, who uses a phone to get directions from informers. Although Mikuni gains an advantage, he loses to Rotten’s Petrova, Channeler of Suns, and the fire stealth ability of Kizar Basiku, the Outrageous. Shobu and Mimi have not yet begun their duels.
