After Kabutomaru Kuwagata is defeated, Shobu sends Rekuta to his family before dueling Zerobal Holmes at a waterfall. Shobu, fueled by anger, discovers he can cross up to three Cross Gears onto a single monster, a first for him. He utilizes Final Dragarmor and Bolberg Cross Dragon, the latter gifted by Yu, to win the match. This victory triggers his second Awakening Card, resembling Soul Phoenix, Avatar of Unity, with the light visible at Fua Castle and to Hakuoh. Meanwhile, Rekuta encounters bananas left by Imelda to catch the escaped Hendrix. Miss Kirumi and Ikinari find Hendrix missing, prompting Imelda to intervene. She successfully captures Rekuta using Hendrix as bait and challenges Shobu to a duel.
